According to information from the Tajik MFA, the meeting participants include secretaries of security council from


Tajikistan


(Amirqul Azimov),

(Miroslav Niyazov),


Kazakhstan


(Kenzhebulat Abdyrov),


Russia


(Igor Ivanov), and


Uzbekistan


(Mukhtar Atayev).  

The meeting is being held behind closed doors.  Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolai Bardyuzha, is also attending the meeting in


Dushanbe

The meeting is aiming to consider issues related to providing regional security in

Central Asia

, measures to fight terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
