An International Tourism Investment Forum will be held in Dushanbe as part of the International Tourism Exhibition (DITE-2025). This was reported to Asia-Plus by the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan.

The forum, titled "Changing the Economy through Strategic Investments in Tourism," will bring together more than 200 participants, including experts and ministers of tourism, as well as leading representatives of travel companies and investors. It is expected that the forum will discuss the most important issues related to the development of the tourism industry, as well as prospects for attracting investment in tourism infrastructure.

The opening of the forum will take place on September 17 at the National Library of Dushanbe, and various workshops and presentations from world leaders in the tourism industry will be held within its framework.

Who will participate in the DITE-2025 exhibition?

The Second International Tourism Exhibition (DITE-2025) will be held from September 18 to 20, 2025 in the capital of the country, Dushanbe, and will become one of the largest tourism events in the region.

More than 200 companies and organizations from different parts of the world will take part in the exhibition, representing a wide variety of areas of the tourism industry, including the hotel and restaurant business, cultural and medical tourism.

Among the expected participants are representatives from more than 20 countries, including Russia, India, China, Turkey and Central Asian countries. It is expected that more than 400 guests from different countries will visit the exhibition to get acquainted with new projects and establish business contacts.

The exhibition participants include the world's leading airlines, hotel chains, cultural and entertainment institutions. It should be noted that the coordinator of the DITE-2025 events is the Tourism Development Department of the Dushanbe City Hall.

Aims and objectives of the exhibition

The Tourism Development Committee recalled that the main purpose of the exhibition is to develop Tajikistan's tourism industry, increase its attractiveness in the international arena and attract foreign investment. The exhibition will become an important platform for demonstrating the cultural, natural and historical potential of Tajikistan, as well as for sharing experiences in the field of tourism and improving the quality of services provided.

An important part of the program will be training events for industry professionals, such as trainings and seminars on hotel and restaurant services, as well as organizing sightseeing tours. These trainings will help local specialists improve their skills and ensure high standards of service for tourists.

Other events

The exhibition program also includes B2B meetings, which will allow participants to establish direct business ties and sign cooperation agreements. Among the expected business initiatives is the presentation of new projects and strategies for the development of Tajikistan's tourism infrastructure, as well as discussions on improving the quality of services provided and attracting foreign investors.

In addition, after the forum, participants will be offered a tour of the capital so that they can get acquainted with the tourist sites of the city and its cultural attractions on the spot. The exhibition will become not only a place for the exchange of experience, but also a platform for strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Tajikistan and international partners.

Prospects for Tajikistan

The Second International Tourism Exhibition plays an important role in the development strategy of Tajikistan's tourism industry. In 2025, the event will continue its mission to draw attention to the country's unique cultural and natural heritage, improve infrastructure, and expand partnerships in the tourism sector.

As last year, the exhibition will be an important step in the development of tourism, which corresponds to the objectives of the Government of Tajikistan to create more favorable conditions for foreign investors and tour operators.

Interest in Tajikistan is growing

Following the success of the first DITE-2024 exhibition, which attracted more than 20 foreign companies and 90 local participants, interest in Tajikistan as a tourist destination is expected to continue to grow in 2025. Participation in the exhibition and forum will provide companies with new opportunities to expand their business, and Tajikistan with a chance to increase its recognition in the international arena.

The event is organized by the “Somon Travel” travel company with the support of the Dushanbe City Hall, as well as the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan.
