This September promises to be an eventful month for the Tajik national judo team: the team is waiting for three major starts on the international stage: the Hangzhou Asian Open, the Asian Junior Championship and the prestigious Qingdao Grand Prix 2025. These competitions will not only give a chance to compete for medals, but will also become an important stage in preparation for the 2028 World Championships and Olympic Games.
Hangzhou Asian Open-2025
The participants of the Hangzhou Asian Open 2025 open tournament will be the first to enter the tatami. The September 6-7 competition will bring together promising athletes from dozens of countries and will be a good test for those who seek to strengthen their positions in the IJF ranking.

A week later, on September 13-14, the Tajik team will take part in the Asian Junior Championship in Jakarta (Indonesia), where the strongest athletes of the continent will gather. The tournament is important not only for medals, but also for the chance to get into the expanded national teams for future world championships.

The main event of the month will be the Qingdao Grand Prix-2025 on September 26-28 in Qingdao, China, a tournament from the IJF World Tour series, which gathers the best judoka on the planet. Rating points are awarded here, which affect the qualification for the 2028 Olympics, which makes the start especially significant.

In all three starts, the Tajik team will have to face the strongest opponents. Among the participants are judoka from Japan, South Korea, France, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as leading European national teams. This is a unique opportunity for our team to test their strength and earn valuable rating points.
