, February 14, Asia-Plus – More than eleven kilograms of heroin were intercepted in the
northern province
of Sughd Monday [February 13].
According to information from the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (drug police) drug police officers found the drugs when they were searching a car “Opal” at the Khujand airport.
The car driver, resident of Kulob Ziyovuddin Yusupov, and his passenger, resident of Khujand Bahodur Tursunov, were arrested and investigation is under way.
