KULOB, April 2009, Asia-Plus — Resident of the village of Allouddin in Khatlon’s Farkhor district, Nasimjon Qurbonov, has got life in jail for triple killing, according to Alfattoh Roziqov, the deputy Khatlon prosecutor in charge for the Kulob region.
The Kulob zonal court sentenced Nasimjon Qurbonov to life imprisonment on April 19. the sentence followed his conviction on charge of killing three persons and wounding four others.
”On the night of November 19-20 of 2008, Qurbonov stabbed to death three residents of the village of Arabho in the Farkhor district, including his aunt and 10-year-old cousin, and wounded four other residents of this village following quarrel,” the prosecutor said.
According to him, it is already the fifth sentence of life imprisonment passed by the Kulob zonal court since last year.
