DUSHANBE, October 12, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Administration of the city budget and purchase of equipment for the Dushanbe health directorate were a major topic of an October 11 meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said the city budget earmarked 49.5 million somoni for those purposes and an open tender would be carried out for the purchase of equipment for the Dushanbe health directorate.

The meeting also paid a special attention to the construction of sports grounds in all Dushanbe’s districts.

The first line for production of energy-saving light bulbs will be constructed by closed joint-stock company (OJSC) Chu An Shidi (phonetically spelled), the spokesman said, noting that more than 2,5 millio somoni will be spent for implementation of that project.

The meeting also discussed issues related to preparations for autumn-winter 2010-2011.
