DUSHANBE, September 1, 2010, Asia-Plus  — 3,810 school have opened their doors to pupils this academic year and some 167,000 first graders have gone to schools today, according to the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Some 200 new school buildings and classes to accommodate 35,141 pupils have been built in the country since the beginning of this year, the source at a MoE said.

A total number of school students in Tajikistan is now more than 1.7 million, he added.
