DUSHANBE. June 9. “Asia-Plus” — Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon and the visiting UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Sha Zukang have attended National exhibition of drawings “Water by children’s eyes”, organized by the Ministry of Education and supported by UNICEF.

The overall goal of the exhibition is to provide children of Tajikistan with an opportunity to express their views and concerns over water related problems and lack of drinking water in households and schools allover the country.

The exhibition is part of the entire series of events dedicated to the High-Level International Conference on the medium-term overview of the process of implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life” for 2005-2015 in Dushanbe.

According to UNICEF Office in Dushanbe, more than 1.300 drawings have been submitted by boys and girls from Tajikistan. According to head of the Department of Science and Innovations of the Tajik Ministry of Education Mirzosharif Shodiev, best 130 drawings will be presented at the three-day exhibition.
