DUSHANBE. June 4. “Asia-Plus” — On June 10 this year Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon will leave for Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent to take part in a regular summit of heads of SCO member states, a reliable source in the government of Tajikistan told the AP.

According to the source, Tajik President will be accompanied by President Adviser for International Affairs Erkin Rahmatulloev, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrohon Zarifi, Tajik Interior Minister Abdurahim Kaharov and other officials.

“In the course of his official visit to Tashkent Tajik leader will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov,” the source said, adding that Emomali Rahmon may also meet with leaders of other SCO member states in bilateral format.

Many Tajik experts believe that the talks between heads of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan can settle many problems between Dushanbe and Tashkent which accumulated in the past years.
