DUSHANBE. June 4. “Asia-Plus” — The number of crimes against property reportedly grows in Tajikistan: 1.867 thefts reported registered in Tajikistan in the past 5 months this year. This is 250 crimes more as compared to the same period last year, Tajik Interior Ministry reported.
The number of thefts involving teens has also increased – 256 crimes against 213 in the same period last year, the source reported. One of these crimes occurred earlier this week in Dushanbe when unknown thieves broke into one of dealer’s centers stealing mobile phones and sim-cards worth over 20.000 Somoni from the center’s metal safe and disappeared.
The police have arrested a 21-year-old A.S. and 16-year-old R.V. Both are suspected of being involved in the theft. A criminal case was launched, investigation is under way.
