DUSHANBE. June 2. “Asia-Plus” — A series of amendments were introduced today into the Law “On holidays”. Thus, deputies of the lower chamber have shifted the Tajik language day from July 22 to October 5.
According to deputy Zieratshohi Sadulo, the government proposed to shift this day which is celebrated in Tajikistan since 1989.
“The old law On language was approved on July 22, 1989, but on October 9 last year we have approved the new law On state language and this was the main reason for the transfer of the holiday,” he said.
Deputies of the lower chamber of the parliament have also ratified an agreement between Tajikistan and Iran on extradition, Agreement on cooperation in the field of identification and blockage of channels of penetration of terrorists, separatists and extremists to the territory of SCO member states, Protocol on introduction of changes into the Agreement between SCO member states on Regional counter-terrorist structure of June 7, 2002, and approved the Status of temporary ecologic commission of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan.
