DUSHANBE. June 2. “Asia-Plus” — From now on all incomes of the Tajik National Bank from deals with legal entities will become taxable. Corresponding changes into the Law of Tajikistan “On state budget for 2010” were approved today, June 2, by deputies of the lower chamber of the Tajik parliament.

According to Tajik Deputy Finance Minister Jamshed Nurinov, the amendments, which were proposed by the government, aimed to increase the country’s state budget income.

According to Nurinov, the proposed amendments will not affect local budgets of the republic.

Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Shukurjon Zuhurov expressed his dissatisfaction with frequent introduction of changes and amendments into the Law “On state budget for 2010.”

“How long are we going to introduce monthly amendments into the budget? This stirs multiple questions,” he said.

According to him, frequent amendments indicate that ministries and departments which were responsible for elaboration of the law have conducted quite perfunctory work.

“The 2010 budget will be quite seriously discussed by the parliament and I urge Tajik Finance Ministry to treat this issue very carefully,” Zuhurov has said.
