KHUJAND, May 7, 2010, Asia-Pus  — On Occasion of the 65th anniversary of Victory in World War II, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov has sent extraordinary grants for veterans and invalids of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 living in Sughd province.

The Russian General Consulate in Khujand organized reception in honor of war veterans on May 5.  More than 100 veterans of World War II from six cities and districts of the province attended the reception.  Extraordinary grants were handed over to them on behalf of Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
