Number of members of ruling party’s organization in Kulob increasing

KULOB, April 19, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The number of members of the organization of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) in the city of Kulob have increased.

Over the first three months of 2010, 133 people have joined the PDPT organization in Kulob, Khursand Azamov, the head of the board of the PDPT organization for Kulob, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, the number of women is increasing among the party members.  “In 2009, 217 new members joined the party and 116 of them are women,” Azamov said.

In the meantime, 10 members of the PDPT organization for Kulob that have found jobs outside Kulob have been dropped from the register over the report period, he added.

The PDPT organization for the city of Kulob now reportedly has 2,784 members.
