DUSHANBE, March 25, 2010, Asia-Plus — A joint session of people”s deputies of Sughd province and its towns and districts was held in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province today.
Muhibullo Dadajonov, an official with the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER), told Asia-Plus by phone from Khujand that the Sughd Governor Qohir Rasoulzoda, Istaravshan Mayor Munim Kholiqov, Panjakent Mayor Khisrav Abdunazarov, Chairperson of the Sughd Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs Matlouba Sattorova and the first deputy head of the organization of the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) for Sughd Anvar Jalilov were elected to the Majlisi Milli from Sughd’s constituency.
