Japan allocates US$457,679 to six projects within the no-string aid of the Government of Japan to grass-root projects.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Tsutoma Hiraoka will sign grant-contracts on 9 March 2010.

The grants will be issued to secondary school No. 37 of Andijan city (US$97,023), Board School No. 31 for infants of Pakhtabad district of Andijan region (US$97,072), secondary school No. 22 Kasb district of Kashkadarya region (US$84,784), secondary school No. 36 of Bulungur district of Samarkand region (US$82,618), school No. 1 of Samarkand city (US$47,693) and secondary school No. 9 Gulistan district of Syrdarya region (US$48,489).

Schools will receive furniture, sport inventory, machinery and other equipment within the grants.
