DUSHANBE, March 3, 2010, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) head Sahrif Said yesterday met here with visiting delegation of the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow, according to the CCI press service.

The delegation members included Ms. Pasporn Sangsubana (phonetically spelled), Counselor, the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow, and Mr. Hathaichanok Riddhagni, First Secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow.

The sides discussed ways to expand bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Thailand.

The Thai guests noted that it was their first visit to Tajikistan and the purpose of the visit was for them to know more about the country and its business community.

Sharif Said noted that Tajikistan was interested in expansion of trade and economic cooperation with Thailand and offered organization of mutual exhibitions and business forums in Dushanbe and Bangkok.

Ms. Sangsubana seconded the proposal and invited Sharif Said to attend a business forum that would take place in Bangkok in September this year.
