DUSHANBE, January 18, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajikistan has been doing all it can to provide support for establishment of peace and accord in Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi remarked at a news conference in Dushanbe on January 18.

According to him, by president’s instruction he will attend international conferences on Afghan problem that will take place in Moscow, Istanbul and London this month.

While delivering a statement at the London conference that will be held on January 28, Tajik minister will bring to the conference participants’ attention a number of projects that could promote development of Afghanistan and its neighbors.

“We are going to offer construction of a rail link connecting Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, construction of a gas pipeline along this route as well as acceleration of the construction of the CASA-1000 power transmission line that will connect power systems of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan,” Zarifi said.
