Kyrgyzstan has signed a long-awaited gas deal with Uzbekistan Monday in Tashkent, press service of the Kyrgyz government reported.

The Kyrgyz Premier Daniyar Usenov, said the deal was crucial and the price is being negotiated, but as it was already declared Kyrgyzstan will buy gas cheaper than all other states in the region.

Therewith, some unofficial sources informed 24.kg that 1,000 cubic meter of gas would cost Kyrgyzstan about $220 in 2010.
