KHUJAND, December 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — All employees of international charity public organization (ICPO), Jovid, will buy shares in the Rough hydroelectric power plant (HPP) after they are made available, the charity head Ramazon Nourmamadov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, Jovid is one of the first in northern Tajikistan to decide to support Roghun’s construction. “Our employees have already given up their one-day’s wages, totaling 2,000 somoni, to support implementation of the Roghun hydroelectricity project,” said Nourmamadov, “Besides, they will also buy shares in Roghun and several other shares will be bought in the name of the charity itself.”
Headquartered in city of Chkalovsk, Sughd province ICPO Jovid is a non-governmental and noncommercial public organization. It was registered with the Ministry of Justice in August 2002. The organization includes social and welfare purposes: promoting reduction of poverty and improvement the rural population livelihood.
