DUSAHNBE, November 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — Sudanese Ambassador to Tajikistan, Sirajiddin Hamid Yusuf, presented the credentials to President Emomali Rahmon on November 25, according to presidential press service.
After the credentials-presenting ceremony, the two discussed issues related to establishment of mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and Sudan.
The Tajik head of state noted that Tajikistan was interested in establishment and expansion of cooperation with Sudan, one of largest countries in African continent.
In the course of the talks, Rahmon and Yusuf also discussed ways to achieve peace and accord in Sudan’s Darfur, the press service said.
