DUSHANBE, November 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — Chairman of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sharif Said, and Sri Lanka’s Amabssador to Tajikistan, Jayalath Weerakkody, discussed bilateral cooperation issues in Dushanbe on November 23, according to the CCI press service.
The two, in particular, considered issues related to establishment of close ties between chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries to promote expansion of economic and trade cooperation between Tajikistan and Sri Lanka.
Sharif Said noted that holding of business forums as well as organization of Sri Lanka’s exhibitions in Tajikistan could promote expansion of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The sides also discussed attraction of investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy and the launch of joint ventures in Tajikistan.
