DUSHANBE, October 26, 2009, Asia-Plus — On Friday October 23, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) ratified a government-to-government agreement between Ukraine and Tajikistan on a direct aerial communication between the two countries, Ukrainian media reported, referring to Ukraine’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Under the agreement, Ukraine and Tajikistan have the right to appoint one air carrier each to operate flights from Kiev to Dushanbe and vice-versa.
Tajikistan and Ukraine signed the aerial communication agreement in 2008.
