DUSHANBE, August 19, 2009 Asia-Plus  — An exhibition of export goods of Kashgar Prefecture of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) is expected to take place in Khatlon’s Danghara district from August 27-30, according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

The exhibition is organized by Tajik CCI and the Chamber of Commerce of Kashgar with support from the Government of Tajikistan.

A number of Kashgar companies will put on display their achievements in various industries at the fair in Danghara.  The sides are expected to sign a number of bilateral mutually beneficial agreements on sidelines of the exhibition, the source at Tajik CCI said.

Kashgar is the prefecture in the western part of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China.  It has an area of 162,000 square kilometers and a population of approximately 3.5 million.  The administrative center of Kashgar Prefecture is the city of Kashgar with approximately 350,000 residents.
