DUSHANBE, January 29, 2009, Asia-Plus  — An operation carried out by officers from the Kulob security directorate on January 28 led to the arrest of dug dealer, according to State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

Kulob resident Ishoq Isoyev was arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking.  43 kilograms of drugs were extracted from the hide that Isoyev had in the village of Beshtegirmon, Kulob district.  A totaled included 27 kilograms of hashish and 16 kilograms of raw opium.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Isoyev and an investigation is under way.
