KHUJAND, July 13, 2009, Asia-Plus — The Chkalovsk-based limited liability company, Chkalovsk Bus Assembling Plant, plans to resume production of specialized vehicles for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), emergencies and municipal services, the plant director Bakhtiyor Ashourov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

“We will assemble firefighting vehicles and garbage trucks on the basis of the Russian-made truck ZIL,” Ashourov said, noting that an appropriate agreement had been signed between them and Russia’s ZIL.

According to him, they have already received an order for 15 specialized vehicles from the Khujand municipal service.

“118 people now work with the Chkalovsk bus-assembling plant,” said the director, “The number of employees is expected to increase up to 500-800 people in the near future and they will work in three shifts.”
