DUSHANBE, July 1, 2009, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes at a June 30 meeting.

According to presidential press service, Haidar Odinayev, formerly director of the education sector control service within the Ministry of Education, was appointed Director of the Branch of Moscow State University in Dushanbe.

Azizmat Imomov, who had previously served as Deputy Minister of Justice, was appointed the First Deputy Minister of Justice.

Khursand Davlatov was appointed Deputy Head of the Committee for Environmental Protection and Mahmad Safarov was appointed Director of Tajik Hydromet within the Committee for Environmental Protection.

Khurshed Ziyoyev, formerly Deputy Chancellor of the Institute of Languages, was appointed to head the education sector control service within the Ministry of Education and Abdullo Abdulloyev was appointed the First Deputy Chairman of Tojiksughurta (Tajik national insurance company).
