Parliament goes on summer recession

DUSHANBE, June 30, Asia-Plus — Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Saydullo Khairulloyev today addressed the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation. Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that Khairulloyev reported on the results of work carried out by the fifth session.

Today, deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon are going on a summer recession that runs through September 30. During the summer recession, MPs will hold meetings with their voters and get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the provinces.

Next elections to the Majlisi Namoyandagon will be held in February 2010.
