KHUJAND, June 26, 2009, Asia-Plus — Four suicide cases and one fatal accident have been registered in the northern Sughd province this week.
According to press service of the Sughd police directorate, the 32-year-old resident of the city of Istaravshan Rashid Rahimov and the 53-year-old of the city of Panjakent Rustam Muhibov committed suicide by self-hanging on Tuesday (June 23).
On Wednesday June 24, the 43-year-old woman from Istaravshan Sabohat Dadoyeva committed suicide by self-hanging. Police officers found a dying note in her home, in which Dadoyeva said that she committed suicide because of failing to repay debts to several persons.
The same day, the 20-year-old resident of the village of Amondara in the Panjakent district Shohrukh Ruziboyev committed suicide by throwing himself off the Dulula Bridge into the Zarafshon River. Search operation is going on.
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old woman from Pnajakent Raihon Mirboyeva accidently fell into the river while doing the laundry.
