DUSHANBE, June 18, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Ex-head of Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, Mr. Hokimsho Tilloyev, has been taken into custody and he is currently held at pretrial detention facility run by the Dushanbe police directorate, Asia-Plus has learned from the reliable source at Prosecutor-General’s Office.

We will recall the Prosecutor-General’s Office recently instituted criminal proceedings against Mr. Hokimsho Tilloyev.  The source at the Prosecutor-General’s office said that criminal proceedings were not related to Tilloyev’s professional activity when he had headed Tajik Air.  “Criminal proceedings have been instituted following applications by a number of citizens concerning financial problems between them and Mr. Tilloyev,” the source said.

Hokimsho Tilloyev headed Tajik national air carrier from January 2006 to November 2008.
