DUSHANBE, March 14, 2011, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev today signed a decree on allocation of 88.900 somoni for organization of gushtingiri (Tajik national wrestling) competitions and horse racing in the Tajik capital on occasion of the Navrouz holiday.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office says the gushtingiri competitions will take lace at the Dushanbe central stadium on March 22 and the horse racing will be held at the Dushanbe hippodrome on March 23.
The Dushanbe law enforcement authorities are to take measures to maintain public order at the venues where the mentioned sports events will take place, the spokesman said.
