DUSHANBE, July 1, 2011, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon today held a meeting with participation of senior representatives from president’s office, relevant ministries as well as governor of Khatlon province.

According to presidential press service, Khatlon governor Ghaybullo Avzalov reported on the results of the six months’ work, implementation of the regional budget, grain-harvesting campaign as well as preparations for introduction of Unit 1 at the Sangtuda-2 hydroelectric power plant (HPP) into operation.

President Rahmon ordered the Khatlon regional government to take adequate measures to ensure stable economic development of the province and speed up the grain-harvesting campaign, the source said.
