KULOB, January 4, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The Kulob-based clothing factory Sadrang, has opened its outlet in Kulob, the Sadrang director Nemat Azimov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, the factory, which currently has a staff of 60, produced more than 200,000 somoni worth of output last year.

“Our factory now produces 50 items of goods, including military uniform, furnishing, school uniform, dressing gowns, and so forth,” the director said, noting that that they intend to create another 40 jobs this year.

Azimov added that they  had concluded a contract with the Committee for Special property under the Tajik Government for 2009.
