Russian-Kazakh rail shipments rose 17 percent in the year to October 1, 2008, reaching 77.2 million tons. 

Russian-Kyrgyz rail shipments over the report period have risen 20.6 percent, reaching 1.8 million tons, Russian-Turkmen rail shipments have risen 11.8 percent to 954,600 tons, and Russian-Uzbek rail shipments have risen 19 percent to 4.2 million tons.
