The Kulob international airport allocated more than 2000 Somoni to the local Council of Russian Compatriots for organization of celebrations on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Victory over Nazi Germany.

In his interview to AP Director General of the airport Ali Komilov said that the airport’s administration decided to approve the Council’s request since the Council mainly consists of lone and old women.

On the eve of the Victory Day celebrations funds were also allocated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, labor and vulnerable groups of population.

“19 GPW veterans, 21 veterans of labor of the Kulob airport and six TB infected people were provided with 100 Somoni each,” he said, adding that similar charitable campaigns are conducted by airport personnel several times a year.
