KULOB, November 11, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Since the beginning of this year, servicemen of Russian motor-rifle regiment 145 deployed in Kulob have remitted 3 million Russian rubles (RR) to Russian banks via the branch of TajPromBank in Kulob, Asia-Plus has learned from TajPromBank’s branch head Yoqubjon Sabourov.  

 According to him, labor migrants working in Russia have remitted RR13 million and US$8 million to their branch over the same period.  

“Remittances in RR increased in late October – early November, following a certain increase in the USD exchange rate against RR,” Sabourov said.
