KONIBODOM, November 11, 2008, Asia-Plus — An enlarged meeting of the board of the Konibodom council of veterans of war and labor was held on November 11 to discuss issues related to strengthening of a military-patriotic education of youth.
The meeting participants included senior representatives of the Konibodom mayor’s office, law enforcement authorities and political parties.
Speaking at the meeting, Qahhorjon Hasanov, the head of the Konibodom veterans’ organization, noted that the primary organizations of the Konibodom veterans’ organization suggested that the length of regular service in the army should be cut from two to one year.
According to him, it would also be expedient to speed up introduction of the contract military service in the country.
