DUSHANBE, November 11, 2008, Asia-Plus  – On Tuesday November 11, President Emomali Rahmon received Azeri Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev. 

We will recall that Garayev, heading Azeri delegation, arrived in Tajikistan on occasion of Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan. 

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with President Rahmon, Mr. Garayev said that they had discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.  

Azeri minister noted that the holding of Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan was a practical step towards implementation of initiative of the presidents of the two countries to promote expansion of bilateral cultural cooperation.

“In the course of the talks, we exchanged views on different directions of cultural exchange between our countries, including exchange of specialists, jointly staging performances, training of personnel, organization of exhibitions, etc,” Garayev said.
