DUSAHNBE, March 31, Asia-plus — A March 31 meeting of Tajik government endorsed measures providing for simplification of visa regime for citizens of 68 countries, presidential press service reported.  

By government’s resolution citizens of 68 countries will be able to get 45-day Tajik visa within three days.   

The resolution also provides for giving visa to citizens of these 68 countries straight at the Dushanbe airport. 

Tajikistan’s ministries of foreign affairs and interior are to provide legal foundation of the document within a month and submit it to the government for consideration.

According to presidential press service, the countries that were not put on this list may obtain the simplified visa regime (getting visa within three days) with Tajikistan through concluding bilateral agreements.  

The March 31 government session also approved the 2006-2010 program for combating diabetes and the 2006-2010 program for computerization of cultural and educational facilities.

The session also considered issues related to assessing the professionalism of employees of the country’s education sector and a process of selection of students entering higher educational institutions by presidential quota.
