Minor tremor jolts Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, February 16, Asia-Plus – Minor tremor measuring 2.0-2.5 on a 12-point scale jolted the Tajik capital yesterday, at around 7:15 pm.  

The quake could be felt in southeast Tajikistan as well.  According to the Republican Seismology Station, the quake’s epicenter was 35 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe.  In the epicenter, the tremor’s magnitude was 3.0.   .

According to the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES), no damage or injured has been reported.
