DUSHANBE, March 1, Asia-Plus – Estonia’s company ESTA intends to boost cooperation with Tajik aluminum plant (TadAZ).

This issue was discussed in Dushanbe yesterday at a meeting of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) head Sharif Saidov with visiting ESTA director for development Mati Steinberg.

The source at a CCI said that during the meeting, Steinberg had noted that their company provides shipping and freight services.  The company also deals with commerce, according to him.

Steinberg noted that ESTA currently ships alumina for TadAZ.  “Before 2004, we had also been engaged in transportation of finished product from the Tajik aluminum plant and we are ready to continue providing service to TadAZ on more beneficial terms,” Steinberg noted.

According to TadAZ, they had cooperated with ESTA earlier.  “However, they have not applied to the plant’s administration for resumption of cooperation lately,” said the source, “In the near future, our enterprise does not plan to conclude agreements with foreign partners.”

ESTMA is one of Estonia”s largest enterprises, providing logistics services.  It has its offices and branches in major ports around the country and beyond, in Latvia and Russia.
