DUSHANBE, March 1, Asia-Plus – The present situation in the area of responsibility of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (SCTO), in particular in the Central Asian region, was a major topic of a meeting of Defense Minister Sherali Khairulloyev with visiting CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bardyuzha in Dushanbe Wednesday evening.   

According to the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the two also discussed issues related to the upcoming session of Collective Security Council scheduled for June as well as a progress of implementation of documents that had been adopted earlier.  

The source at a MoD said that Bardyuzha is also scheduled to meet with teaching staff and cadets of the MoD Military Institute.  

Tomorrow, Bardyuzha is expected to be received by President Emomali Rahmonov.
