DUSHANBE, May 14, Asia-Plus – Since the beginning of the year, 110 people have been killed and 614 others have been inured in 529 traffic accidents in Tajikistan, according to Tajikistan’s traffic police.

The source at Tajik traffic police said that 433 traffic accidents had been reported in the country over the same period of last year, and 101 people had been killed and 489 others had been injured in those accidents. 

The source added that one person was killed and two others were injured in car collision that took place on the Borbad Street in Dushanbe Friday afternoon.  At least three vehicles were involved in the accident, according to him. 

“A sedan Nexia driven by Abdurashid Saymirzoyev collided with car VAZ-2105 and then went into oncoming traffic and collided with VAZ-2109,” said the traffic police spokesman, “Saymirzoyev died and his two passengers were injured.”
