DUSHANBE, December 19, Asia-Plus  — The 13th session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) opened in Dushanbe today. 

The session is considering 25 laws that have been adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) this year.

The session will also elect deputy chairmen of the upper house and approve structure, manning table and budget of expenditure of the Majlisi Milli’s office.   

Among the laws to be considered at the 13th session of the Majlisi Milli are the laws on adoption of the code of economic legal procedure and the civil procedural code, as well as amendments to the laws on natural resources, consumer’s cooperation, and social security of disabled people.
