DUSHANBE, January 28, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes at a January 25-26 government meting reviewing Tajikistan’s economic results in 2007.   

The president appointed Murodali Alimardon, formerly the head of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Matters.

Sharif Rahimzoda, who had previously been the head of the State Committee for Investments and Management of the State-owned Property, replaced him as the head of the National Bank of Tajikistan. Farrukh Hamraliyev replaced Rahimzoda as the head of the State Committee for Investments and Management of the State-owned Property

Ruqiya Qurbonova, formerly mayor of Qurghon Teppa, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Social Matters, replacing Khairinisso Yusufi, who was appointed to head the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs.         

Nusratulo Salimov, formerly First Deputy Health Minister, was appointed Health Minister, replacing Ranokhon Abdurahmonova.   

Naim Haitboyev was relieved of his post of deputy Health Minister.

Qosim Qosimov, formerly head of the organization of ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) for the Sughd province, replaced Abdurahmon Qodiri as Minister for Agriculture and Environmental Protection.  Qosim Qosimov served as governor of the Sughd province from February 1996 to November 2006.  Qodiri was appointed the first deputy chairman of the Khatlon province.   

Mahmadtohir Zokirov, formerly head of the Committee for Emergency Situations, was appointed to head the Agency for Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography, replacing Davlatsho Gulmahmadov.  Gulmahmadov was recommended to the position of the first deputy chairman of the Sughd province.   

Habibullo Latipov was appointed head of the Committee for Emergency Situations.   

Tatiana Marakushina, Juma Eshov and Ahmadjon Sharifjjonov were removed of their positions of deputy heads of the National Bank of Tajikistan.  Jamshed Yusupov and Malohat Kholiqzoda were appointed deputy heads of the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Munira Inoyatova was relieved of her post of the head of the Civil Service Training Institute at President’s Executive Office for age reasons, and Nazira Ghafforova was appointed to head this institute.

Khudoinazar Asozoda was also removed of his position of Chancellor of Tajik State Teachers’ Training University for age reasons. 

Tolib Nabiyev was removed of his position of President of the Agriculture Academy.
