DUSHANBE, March 11, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday March 11, Dushanbe Mayor held a meeting with participation of heads of residential quarter and mahalla (community) committees, imam khatibs (mosque leaders) as well as senior representatives from the mayor’s office and media.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that improvement of the city was focus of the meeting.  During the meeting, it was noted that a campaign involving all enterprises and organizations located in the Tajik capital and city dwellers and aimed at improvement of the city will be launched in Dushanbe on March 12.  The campaign will last until a Capital City Day, which is marked on the third Saturday of April.  

Speaking at the meeting, the mayor noted that all works are carried out on an initiative of newly set up public associations of apartment buildings, the spokesman said.
