DUSHANBE, April 5, Asia-Plus — 19 issues were considered at the 9th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) presided over by Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) head Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev. The session was held in St. Petersburg, Russia on April 4.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli head for media and NGOs, said that the session had also passed appropriate resolutions on model laws on double insurance, providing safety of hydraulic facilities, state support for enhancement of agrarian sector, medicines, as well as statement by the State Duma (Russia lower chamber of parliament) on effects of deployment of components of the US global anti-missile defense in Europe.
The considered issues and passed resolutions are aimed at expansion of mutually beneficial relations between the parliaments of member nations of the EAEC on formation national laws promoting development of socioeconomic ties, the aide said.
