CHKALOVSK, May 6, Asia-Plus — Next year, winners of the essay competition will be given an opportunity to enter Russian higher educational institutions without entrance examinations,” Russian Consul General to the Sughd province, Mr. Azim Yarakhmedov, announced in Khujand yesterday, summing up the results of the essay competition dedicated to Victory Day.
The competition was organized by the Russian Consulate in cooperation with the Council for Russian Fellow-countrymen and the Sughd education directorate.
It was the second such competition being held in northern Tajikistan, and Russian diplomat promised that the winner of the next competition that will be held in 2009 will have the right to enter one of Russian universities without entrance examinations.
