DUSHANBE, June 18, Asia-Plus  — The British Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Graeme Loten, today morning went to the Rasht Valley (eastern Tajikistan) for a five-day visit.

Yesterday, Mr. Loten met with journalists in Dushanbe and acquainted them with the schedule of his working visit to the Nourobod, Rasht, Tojikobod and Jirgatol districts.  

British Ambassador said that the purpose of the visit is for him to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in those districts.  During the trip, Mr. Loten is expected to visit a number farming units, enterprises and social facilities in the region.
