DUSHANBE, July 1, 2008, Asia-Plus  — A June 30 meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office considered issues related to preparations for the winter.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the meeting had heard repots by the first deputy Dushanbe mayor, Abdusattor Sulaymonov, and the head of the Dushanbe city legislature (Majlis) commission, Abdullo Habibov, on the results of work they had carried out to inspect preparation of the city’s economy for autumn-winter period 2008-09.  

During the meeting, it was noted that a special session of the Dushanbe city legislature will be held on July 17 to discuss adequate measures taken to ensure regular work of Dushanbe’s economy during the winter months.  

In this commission, at request of the Dushanbe mayor’s office president’s executive office will inspect preparations taken by the Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding for the winter, the spokesman said.
